David Cook rocks out Billie Jean

I am not a big fan of American Idol. But I was wowed by this guy!

David Cook has amazing talent. Every song of his I heard so far on that show has been quite outstanding.

Brilliant stuff.

See you soon Ralston..

Meeting old classmates is always an activity worth a bit of time on your vacation. I was lucky that I got to meet not only Ralston who left for the U.S.A on the 20th of August, but I also got to meet some of the ‘Mandal’ members. Namrata, Sneha and Vardha to be precise.

You can see the rest of the photographs here.

Surprisingly though Ashita, Minty and Bhakti are in Pune, I haven’t met any of them. That was the case until Sunday, when as chance would have it I ran into Minty, Vardha, Bhakti (who straightened her hair!) and Radha at Pyramids in Camp.

But I still haven’t met so many others of my batch who are in Pune; Rochelle, Medha, Sweety, Rini, Selwyn etc etc…

All the best Ralston.

Anyways.. since today is Rochelle's birthday, and Remya's birthday, Happy Birthday you two!

Cat under the lamp. A happy cat.

Cookie’s cats are quite amazing. Just finished uploading a few cat snaps to my Flickr account. Thought I’d blog one of my favorites.

Will add more of the very photogenic felines to flickr in the weeks to come.

See you soon Ashay...

Ashay left for the U.S.A on the 16th of August. Rima, Tassia and myself met up with him for dinner the night before he left at Martin's Corner in Goa. See pictures here.

Feel really nostalgic and even sad when I think about it. Ashay was part of that great college gang we had, and his going to the other side of the world somehow makes that gang seem a deeper part of my past than it actually is.

Even though we got geographically split apart after college ended, the Internet and the mobile phone contrived to keep that gentle spirit of being part of each others lives intact. Somehow Ashay’s departure has added a sense of finality to the fact that …those days are gone. You have got to love memories that give you that warm glow inside, but they have a bitter aftertaste.

I miss the gang. I still have Tassia, Rima, Rahim in my day to day life, and Liz Anne will probably be around for a long time yet (a different reason there), but Roma and Remya already seem to drift on to wherever the tides of their life must take them. Sadly that seems a far shore from where I’m heading.

Oh Nostalgia my fickle friend, no peace shall I have from you.

Enough heavy grammar, as the Nigerians would say. One must imitate time and move relentlessly forward.

Carlos and the magical house

Fermino Gardens, originally uploaded by Nigel Fds.

I've been meaning to write about Carlos and his amazing house in Agasaim for a while now.

I have finally decided, that the best way to actually describe th place is to show all you folks pictures of the fantastic venue.

The enterprising, energetic and always young cousin of mine never fails to come out with a quite spectacular show, whether you are having a wedding at Fermino Gardens or just at his place for dinner.

Of course, all this helped by his wife Maylyn, who in spite of being a vegetarian makes the most amazing non veg. dishes.

You can find the rest of the pictures on my newly created flickr account: Carlos's Fermino Gardens
